Watch Forum Rules & Guidelines:
People will be kind and courteous. No personal attacks of any kind will be tolerated, nor will racism, sexism, or bigotry.
No sales posts of any kind. All sales posts will be immediately deleted without notification. There is a Sales Corner and Trade Corner at the bottom of the board for this purpose.
No linking to live auctions. Linking to a live auction really is a double edged sword. You may get the information you need, but you're only hurting your chance of getting a good deal in the end. More over, if you have no interest in the item yourself, you have possibly hurt someone else's chance of getting a good deal. One exception, links to incorrect, misleading or fraudulent auctions are permitted provided that the sole intention is to warn other members.
No off-topic posts. Let's try to keep the focus on horology posts only. If you want to discuss something other than watches, please visit WatchPedia's Main Forum.
Images containing weapons of any kind are not allowed.
Don't abuse the icons. They have their place, but only within reason.
Use discretion when posting. Don't respond to messages with any answer simply for the sake of doing so. Think about what you write, and make it count. You are responsible for what you write!
The subject line should represent the messages' content. By responding to another post, a default subject automatically sets up. For example "re: Is this a Swiss movement?" Simply delete the old subject line, and type in a new, more appropriate, subject. You may also want to remove the automated "Quote". It helps everyone, but especially those who are busy, better navigate only the threads they have interest in.
Don't engage in dialogue with a troll or a spammer. Report them to the moderators.
Violation of these rules may result in disciplinary measures, which may ultimately include being banned from WatchPedia. We look forward to your contributions!
