In 1933, in tribute to the world of motor cars and aviation, TAG Heuer launched a panel counter which became a wrist chronograph in 1963. With the help of the famous Chronomatic movement (Calibre 11) in 1969, the avant-garde technology and the sports design of the Autavia convinced the famous Swiss driver Jo Siffert who immediately adopted the watch. Faithful to the original model created in the 1960s with its crown to the left and with a Calibre 11, the Autavia is an embodiment of TAG Heuer’s Swiss watchmaking expertise. With a delicate mix of audacity and power, Autavia pays tribute to speed and mechanical sports.
