TAG Heuer becomes official chronograph, timekeeper and sunglasses partner of the China Team Challenge for the America’s Cup 2007

Along with sophisticated timing devices, TAG Heuer will supply China Team members with wrist chronographs specially developed for the America’s Cup and sunglasses from its Golden Silmo and Reddot awards winning Sport Vision collection. In particular, the revolutionary Aquaracer Calibre S chronograph with synchronized countdown-chronograph function, will equip the members of the Afterguard. The Calibre S is a major breakthrough in prestigious and sporty watchmaking as it allows sailors for the first time ever to combine complex functionalities, ease of use and utmost elegance in an analog chronograph timepiece. Thanks to its patented bi-directional engines and hands, the Calibre S offers for the first time in centuries, a very simple, stylish and easy-to-read display of information.

In Sunglasses, China Team racing members will be equipped with the Curve TAG Heuer Sport Vision frames, allowing a very sharp and broad vision field thanks to their curve 8 shape and the ultra sophisticated polarized, antireflection treated and hydrophobic lenses specifically developed for sea conditions and its related light filtering challenges.

TAG Heuer’s shield and logo will be prominently featured on the boom and afterdeck of China Team America’s Cup boats as well as on the China Team racing and sailing team uniforms and on their Valencia and Qingdao sailing bases.
