Tag Heuer - Basel 2007

This year in Basel, TAG Heuer celebrates twenty years of Sports and elegance with the new Link Homme collection. The 2007 stand will provide the fresh setting that perfectly reflects this legendary line.

The Link collection, introduced as S/el (Sports/elegance) in 1987, which has been enriched with additional models now unveils its new icon: the Link Calibre S chronograph.

After revolutionising the principles of the mechanical watch with the Monaco V4 Concept in 2004, TAG Heuer is now revolutionising the Chronograph with the Calibre S. This innovative, TAG Heuer-patented movement re-invents the reading of chronometric time, which had usually been indicated by small, hard-to-read counters. Now it’s easy – thanks to the same central hands (hour-minute-second). A true breakthrough, the Calibre S combines a quartz and a mechanical movement to give unparalleled precision and practicality in the pure avant-garde tradition of TAG Heuer.

With new mechanical complications and prestigious finishes, the new Link models are the perfect blend of elegance, unrivalled comfort and timeless style. Available in four dial colours – black, silver, brown and blue – the Link Calibre 5 boasts a turning bezel in finely fluted steel and a diamond-cut date aperture. The Link Calibre 5-Day Date sports a pure and bold design with a hand-applied oversize date aperture at 6 o’clock. Finally, the Link Calibre 16 chronograph boasts several new functions with luxurious finishes: a polished steel bezel with tachymetre graduation, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on both sides, a sapphire crystal case back, hand-applied finishes and a clasp with a folding buckle on a satin-finish steel bracelet.
